Susan Borthwick's Daxijack puppies...

Recently, I did a shoot for a friends mum of her Daxijack (Dachshund cross Jack Russel) puppies. They are just over three weeks old now and only just started walking so they aren't very stable! This made taking photos quite difficult because they were constantly moving and some of the positions they had themselves in was hilarious. It was also quite difficult because as they are so young they had to be inside which meant a high ISO because it was quite dark. Granted, the photos aren't as grainy as I thought they'd be!

Puppies, everywhere!

We tried our best to get them to stay in a line...

1920's shoot based on the Ford Model T for my best friend, Georgina Benton.

Hey there, sorry about the lack of posts recently, there has also been a lack of photography haha! I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago for my best friend, Georgina Benton for one of her uni projects. She is studying Fashion Management BA (hons).

The shoot was based on vintage cars and inspired by the 1920's era of which the Ford Model T was produced. Luckily the weather was on our side for the shoot as the days before and after were dull and rainy. I am very pleased with the way the photos turned out and you will be seeing more of our teamwork in the future :). I also think Georgina's sister made an amazing model (this was her first shoot). She was very easy to work with and is so pretty, don't you think?

Stylist: Georgina Benton
Model: Rebecca Benton
Location: Floors Castle garden centre

Dress: Miss Selfridge
Harness: Topshop
Shoes: New Look

Here are the best photos from the shoot:

Wee Rolo...

On a day off from work I decided I'd try and take some animal photos. I got one of our puppies out into the garden, I'd normally get him out in the field but there are now sheep in it!

We have three puppies, about seven months old, and two older dogs, one two and the other five. All of our dogs are working Cockers, or working Cockers to be!

I think his eyes are gorgeous, they totally stand out and that's why I love this photo! He was quite hard to photograph because he's still young so wouldn't stay still for long but I did get some nice ones.

Bamboo...

I recently received a Wacom for my birthday from the better half, I decided on the medium Bamboo because it's a decent size and will be really good for starting out.

When I get my feet off the ground and can afford a more expensive one I will get the Intuos4!

Labridoodle pups...

So recently I was asked to take some photos for a family friend of her Labridoodle pups for an advert. Here are my favourite shots from the day.

They were really quite hard to shoot because they were constantly moving. Plus it was a really dull day so had to use a high ISO, that is why these photos are really grainy. My wee 550D can't handle the high ISOs!!!

The little boy was the ladys grandson, he needed a photo with the puppies and his teddy there for nursery. He is so cute!

21st birthday...

I think that for my 21st birthday I am going to put the money I get towards buying a new camera! I have wanted the Canon 5D Mark II for a while now and I think this is my chance to get it! I will need to get saving now though to get the rest together as this baby isn't cheap at around £2,000 (depending on what lens you get with it etc).

What a beast!!!

Wee edit

Here's a wee edit I decided to do recently. I wanted to make this image look a bit more dull and moody. I put a texture of old parchment over the top and added some cracked wall brushed to try and add to the effect. I might end up playing about with it a bit more but I really like it like this!
